One of the tourist attractions in Salou is the 'trenet' or tourist train, a train that transits through the main attractions of the capital of the Costa Dorada. The tourist train offers one route in winter only in the morning and, in summer, two routes with different stops that allow to enjoy the coastal landscape of Salou and to discover the buildings and the most emblematic places of the municipality. The Salou Municipal Tourism Board, in collaboration with the Council for Beaches: Quality and Use Plan, organizes the winter 2023 edition of the program of free activities 'Salou, Platja All Year'.

With spring and the beginning of the tourist season, the Arena has reopened its doors. From its privileged location, on the Salou seafront promenade, the Arena offers its customers a cozy terrace where they can enjoy vermouth, tapas and rice dishes, or a spacious, bright and informal interior that invites them to taste the menu of the restaurant.

The Blaumar Hotel in Salou, the only one located on the Paseo Marítimo of the capital of the Costa Dorada, opens its doors on April 1 to welcome visitors and tourists, and especially the families that constitute its main public. This opening is marked by new measures aimed at making the hotel more sustainable and environmentally safe.

After the Transition Plan to the New Normality of the Spanish government, which gradually escalates the lack of confidence until June 30, the Business Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of the province of Tarragona demands more details from the government on how the opening of the tourist and restaurant accommodation.

The biggest festival that Salou celebrates each year in October has a special significance for this year because 30 years ago the segregation of Salou and its constitution in an independent municipality of Vila-seca. The culminating moment was October 30, 1989, when the Supreme Court issued a ruling favorable to the constitution of the municipality of Salou.

Salou has taken a step further in the strengthening of its coastal area with the recovery of the park and green area of ​​Capellans beach. The action has allowed to create a viewpoint from where to contemplate one of the most spectacular corners of the capital of the Costa Dorada: from the tip of the Po-Roig to the Lazareto.

The works on improving the public lighting of the stretch of the road of the Coast between the roundabout of the Far and the Replanells highway have been put an end to the works that are being carried out since last month of December. Due to its antiquity, a considerable part of the columns had a state of advanced corrosion, and also the illumination provided by the set of fluorescents, which was insufficient for both pedestrians and drivers.

The Torre Vella de Salou opened its doors on Friday the traditional exhibition that is programmed annually coinciding with the Mayor's Winter Festival. The sample composed entirely by local artists will remain open until next March 17. A score of authors participate in the exhibition.

The company Hard Rock International will be in charge of constructing the new Recreational and Tourist Center (CRT) between Salou and Vila-seca known as Hard Rock Entertainment World, to build hotels, a casino and a shopping center next to PortAventura World and Ferrari Land. This project will create 2,100 direct jobs.

The International Theater Festival arrives in Tarragona with 12 shows programmed for independent theater and new dramaturgy and with a new section "Young FITT" and the new public prize.
