Salou. Costa Dorada. 08 April 2024. Under the Salou Food Experience brand, the Salou 2024 Gastronomic Agenda has been presented in the capital of the Costa Dorada, with 8 proposals to taste the best kilometer zero products in the area throughout the year. He was in charge of the presentation by the president of the Associació d’Empresaris d’Hostaleria de Salou (AEH) and Michelin star, Pep Moreno; the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, and the councilor for Economic Dynamization, Hèctor Maiquez.
The Gastronomic Agenda of the capital of the Costa Dorada aims to promote tourism all year round, in this case through gastronomy. The objective is deseasonalization and contribute to the economic and labor sustainability of the municipality's restaurant sector.
In this sense, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, explained that "Salou is a destination that offers a wide variety of attractions and products to enjoy with family or friends throughout the year, thus enriching the offer of sun and beach". According to the mayor, "gastronomy adds a new dimension and value to tourist activity, being key in consolidating our commitment to deseasonalization and economic and labor sustainability."
Granados also highlighted Salou's significant commitment to becoming a gastronomic benchmark, thanks to the potential, professionalism and innovation of its entrepreneurs and restaurant professionals in the municipality and especially the youngest restaurateurs in the capital of the Costa Daurada, who are committed to innovation and quality.
The presentation of the Salou 2024 Gastronomic Agenda has been accompanied by delicious tastings of some of the best restaurants in Salou from the privileged "Summit" terrace of the Olympus Palace Hotel.
