Salou form young people in hospitality and tourism

Salou. Costa Dorada. 06 November 2016. A total of 15 young people from Salou have started this course Training Program and Integration (PFI) kitchen, which has already reached the fifth edition thanks to the collaboration of the City of Salou and the Hotel Association Salou-Cambrils-La Pineda. In the course also they collaborate various establishments of Salou, which will house students so they can perform practices.

The municipal mayor, Pere Granados, has expressed interest Consistory that "Salou offers young people training related to hospitality and adequate tourism to the labor supply that exists in the municipality," while Councilwoman Ensenyament, Julia Gomez, thanked the support and collaboration of private companies, during the act of commencement.

For his part, President of the Association of Hotel Salou-Cambrils-La Pineda, Xavier Roig, stressed to young students the importance of training in this economic sector catering and kitchen, and also thanked the Council's commitment with this project.

The total duration of this program is 1000 hours, from September to June, of which 420 correspond to the training of auxiliary cooking and catering services. People who exceed the program earn an academic and professional certification that accredits the professional skills acquired and allows them to access the test cycles FP medium grade.
