On September 19, 2020, the Halloween season begins in PortAventura, which will last until November 15. During this period, you can enjoy the entire park themed for the occasion, sinister characters swarming around the site, and scary shows. The 3 passages of terror will also be underway (La I sla M aldita, Apocalypse Maya and [REC] Experience) that can be visited separately or together with the Halloween Passport.
The schedules:
During Halloween, PortAventura will open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, when the hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Instead, Ferrari Land will maintain the schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day.
The passages of terror: schedules, prices and Halloween Passport
La Isal Maldinta (The Damned Island) was released in 2019. It is a unique proposal, with a 1 kilometer tour of the Caribbean Aquatic Park representing a remote island in the Caribbean where sinister pirates will want to trap visitors, and where fear can assail you at every turn of the itinerary.
It works only on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The capacity is limited.
You can enter from 12 years, but in the company of an adult. You can enter only or one from the 14 years.
To enter the passage of terror La Isla Maldita you must first buy the ticket for PortAventura and , once inside , you must purchase the ticket for the passage, which costs 10 euros per person. In addition, if you want to avoid queues you can buy the Express Fear pass for 10 euros more per person.
Tickets for the passage of terror can be purchased at the entrance of the same passage or at the Records stores in PortAventura and General Store.
Apocalipsis Maya (Mayan apocalypse) takes place in the area of Mexico. A team of explorers searches for treasure and breaches a Mayan temple, unleashing the curse and the wrath of the gods. The adventure takes place in an environment of haunted jungles, shamans, terrifying mummies, prisoners turned into hungry zombies, a spooky field hospital and Mayan gods with supernatural powers.

[REC] Experience is based on the famous zombie movie, and is the longest closed horror passage in Europe thanks to Filmax. It's a 15-minute terrifying journey where more than 40 characters will want to trap you in spaces that recreate the most famous scenes from the film. Laser effects that will disorient you and movie screens that reproduce the most terrifying moments of the film will contribute to making this passage of terror a true nightmare.
The passage of terror [REC] Experience is located in the area of Polynesia and works:
- Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In order not to spend the 21 euros per person that it costs to enter the three terror passages separately, PortAventura World offers the possibility of buying the Halloween Passport for 16 euros per person, which allows access to all three.
To buy the Halloween Passport you must first buy the entrance to PortAventura and then acquire this passport to fear inside the amusement park, at the Records stores in PortAventura and General Store, or at the entrance to [REC] Experience and Apocalypse Maya.
Halloween shows in PortAventura: schedules

Halloween Kingdom: at the Imperial Grand Theater in the China area, enigmatic dancers and acrobats , with live music , will perform jaw-dropping choreographies and acrobatics.

Bang Bang Halloween is located in the Far West, simulating a fort where a group of soldiers must save the town of Penitence from the vampires who, commanded by Dracula, want to seize the blood of all its inhabitants. This is a show with spectacular moments , in which the stuntmen in action will delight the family audience with their film effects, their falls, punches and runs.

Birds of paradise
Without a doubt, the oldest show in PortAventura , since it premiered in 1995 and has been uninterrupted ever since. It is located in Polynesia, and with a lot of humor we can learn many things from exotic birds from all over the world such as macaws, the funny Lolita or the cassowary, the oldest species of bird that exists. A very familiar, fun and educational show.

- Monday to Friday at 13:00 h and 15:00 h
- Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 h, at 13:30 h and 15:30 h

Gastronomy
This year the novelty of Halloween in PortAventura is gastronomic. Thus, in the area of Mexico the taqueria "La Catrina" has been inaugurated, inspired by the famous character originating from Mexican popular culture . La Catrina is an elegantly dressed skull that emerged as a form of social and political criticism in the Mexican 19th century .

This 2020 is 20 years PortAventura celebrates Halloween. The park was a pioneer in Spain in being completely themed for the celebration. Since then, Halloween has evolved and added tickets, shows, characters, hotel and gastronomic offer, until it became a Halloween that lasts 48 days and has received more than 9 million visitors over these 20 years.
