The magazine ,Gastronomia i Turisme, has given its 2012 awards

The magazine "Food and Tourism" turned its first 25 years of existence in 2010 and for this reason, directors, and Ramon Felix Llovell Segú, wanted to celebrate a birthday party for the "wedding of silver ", together with the" Association of Tarragona Gourmets' institute awards for outstanding catering establishments and hotels.On Thursday, June 7, held the third annual Awards for "Food and Tourism", during dinner the Gourmet, the restaurant Yacht Club, Salou, with the assistance of the Mayor, Pere Granados , among others. The act began with an extensive and exquisite aperitif on the terrace restaurant, washed down with champagne Torello.Before the start of the wonderful dinner prepared by chef Yacht Club, Sergi Martin, and coordinated by its director, Janet Foster, took place the presentation of awards, consisting of an old Roman tradition that reminds Anfora transport oil and wine in the Tarraco. The awards were given to the Director of the magazine, Felix Llovell, the Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, president of Gourmets of Tarragona, Emilio Mateo IEL Predisent Yacht Club in Salou, Godofredo Dominguez at: - Best Restaurant Event 2012: Yacht Club Salou.- Best restaurant in the Tarragona 2012: Tower of India (Villa Retirement) Xerta. - Best hotel restaurant and charming 2012: Miami Mar, Sant Carles de la Rapita. - Best 2012 wine revelation: Nuria Montargull of 2011, the winery Miquel Pons, of Granada .- Best champagne 2012: Torello. - Best hotel in Andorra 2012: Hotel Plaza, Andorra La Vella. - Best Relais & Chateaux 2012: The Castle Town of La Seu d'Urgell. - Best Chef of Catalonia 2012: Xavier Pellicer, Can Fabes, Sant Celoni. Completed the delivery, Xavier Pellicer thanked on behalf of all the winners received the award and praised the work done over many years by the Food and Travel magazine and its leaders. Finally, Pere Granados concluded the speeches with encouraging words and congratulations to the winners and the magazine, highlighting the importance of tourism and gastronomy.In the course of the dinner was presented the number of 144 "Food and Tourism", which contains in its pages the winners in this third edition of the Awards.To refer to the menu served at this dinner, which began with a crunchy cocoa egg butter prawns and monkfish stuffed with almond oil, natural baked cod and foie gras on a bed of Santa Pau beans, codonayat and pine nuts and apple tatin and strawberry accompanied by ice cream and hot chocolate sphere.
