Ramon Pellicer, from TV3, will present the opening gala of Salou Capital of Catalan Culture

The journalist and presenter of TV3's Telenotícies cap de setmana, Ramon Pellicer, will be in charge of presenting the grand opening gala that Salou City Council is preparing to officially start the events of Salou Capital of Catalan Culture 2025. Pellicer's professional career has mainly been developed in audiovisual media, and above all in television, both on TVE and TV3, to which he has been linked at various stages and especially since 1998.

The date on which this opening gala will be held has not yet been announced, but the performance of Veus - Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió, one of the most prestigious children's choirs in the country, has also been explained. Founded in 1996 within the School of Music of the Coral Society Amics de la Unió of Granollers and directed by Josep Vila Jover, this choir of white voices stands out for its interpretive quality and the uniqueness of its productions.

Veus - Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió has participated in numerous festivals and has been awarded in prestigious competitions such as the 7th Tokyo International Choir Competition (2024) and the Tolosa Choral Competition. In addition, the choir has performed in emblematic venues such as the Gran Teatro del Liceo, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Philharmonie de Paris.

The presentation of the program of activities that the City Council of Salou is preparing as a Capital of Catalan Culture 2025 municipality will be presented to the press on February 27, as the council has already announced.

Although details have not been revealed, it has been announced that the programme will include a broad programme, ranging from popular and traditional cultural events to contemporary artistic events, and will cover a wide variety of artistic expressions.
