They publish a book to immortalize the sand sculpture of the Nativity Pineda
The Bethlehem of sand at La Pineda can be considered as the starting gun for the Christmas on the Costa Dorada. On the bridge of the Constitution come each year between 8 and 11 internationally recognized artists and a sculpture made of sand, large, on the beach in La Pineda, Vila-seca. People can visit at all until Christmas, the day after Epiphany, an excavator is responsible for destroying it. A few days to start the twelfth edition, Mario Hernandez and Vallverdú Núria, who is director of the Bethlehem arena, have edited a book to immortalize the spectacular arena construction, a proven artistic and technical quality. These sculptures, by their ephemeral feature, just stay in our memory or graphic documentation that has been done. The photographs are worth the time setting works that have disappeared, perhaps for years, and we think worth spreading. That is why a book was published with the best images of each issue as a way to perpetuate an event that has already become a classic in the Costa Dorada. The book have eleven chapters, one for each edition, plus an introduction. The book has 130 color pages with the best pictures of the sculptures. In addition, there will be a brief resume of the 16 major sculptors who have participated over the years in developing the manger.
