Salou creates a new bike lane on Paseo Miramar in front fo Ponent beach
Salou. Costa Dorada. The City of Salou enables a new bike lane on the Poniente beach, as approved at the last Local Government. The stretch of action is approximately 600 feet and will serve to unite the existing lane coexistence in PaseoJaume I to ride the bike path with the municipality of Cambrils and will run along the Paseo Miramar. The budget of the works is 124,805 euros. The section on what action will the only remaining outstanding seafront, which is why the council has scheduled lane coexistence throughout the west beach and the town will have an average width of 2.5 meters and will be twofold. The Town Planning Management, Marc Montagut, explained that "it was a stretch that was pending and that last run to improve mobility for our beaches and our town." In addition Montagut added that "we want to facilitate coexistence between cyclists and pedestrians and we believe this new lane will succeed." According to forecasts, the performance will take place in 3 months and be ready to face summer. The works will consist in the adaptation of part of the sidewalk and the paint-signaling correctly so that cyclists and pedestrians can coexist peacefully side by walking around playing on the beach, and cyclists, along of border that touches the road.
