Reus is reinforced commercially with Reus Shopping Days
Reus. Costa Dorada. 19th June 2012. The Municipal Tourism and Commerce of Reus, a proposal with the collaboration of business entities in the city, this summer launched a new campaign "Reus Shopping Day" to reinforce Reus as commercial capital of the Costa Dorada in an era of increasingly important sales for the sector as the summer season. The campaign has the support of the Chamber of Commerce, Union of Traders, Els Tombs of Reus, the Pallol Mall, the commercial Prim-Sunyer, and the markets of Central and Carrilet. "Reus Shopping Day" is aimed primarily at tourists who spend their holidays on the Costa Dorada (especially Russian tourists), but also citizens and residents in the catchment area. The campaign will run from July 4 to September 12. The main objectives of the campaign "Reus Shopping Day" are positioned as the city of Reus Costa Dorada shopping, increase sales and consumption in Reus in summer time, and convey the image of city business leader with innovative initiatives This new initiative aims to improve the attractiveness of the shopping experience at Reus and at the same time, the adaptation of trade in the city to the habits of most tourists spend their holiday on the coast. For this reason, the campaign proposes the summer Wednesday as a special day of shopping in the city, where the participating establishments will remain open at noon and offer special attention to its buyers (discounts, gifts, special promotions, product sampling etc ...) because the shopping experience is very satisfactory. The Municipal Tourism and Trade is responsible for overall coordination and dissemination of the campaign, while commercial entities promoting the involvement of its members for participating stores. This is an example of joint effort and shared between the public (the City) and the private (business entities and commercial establishments), following the new philosophy of promoting the future of City Promotion Agency. The number of shops that have joined the campaign is 151, a figure that is considered very positive and confirms the expectations that were created are very good Restaurants and Markets To complement this action and give more content to Wednesday "Reus Shopping Day" also includes the participation of 23 restaurants in the city and the markets of Central and Carrilet, which also perform special actions the days of the campaign. On the one hand, participating restaurants presented to all customers who remain in their eating establishments with a typical vermouth of Reus and a snack. Meanwhile, the Central Market stalls and Carrilet participants in the campaign, which will open in its normal schedule on Wednesday (to be 14:00 hours), presented its customers with tastings of their products.
