More than a hundred attendees at Cambrils to act for the child who needs a bone marrow transplant
Cambrils. Costa Dorada. Over a hundred people attended this past Tuesday, August 18th, 2009, in the act of support to the family of small Joel, a boy of six years of Cambrils that need soon to find a compatible bone marrow donor for the able to transplant it to overcome the illness suffered. During the event, organized by the City of Cambrils as a sign of solidarity and support to the affected family, several communications were read, one by the councilor of Social Policy and Health, Maricel Llaveria and another in charge Joel's father, Roman Rodriguez. With the act, any municipal corporation of the Municipality of Cambrils wished to express its support for the family to urge those present to learn and become bone marrow donors. For their part, Roman Rodriguez, Joel's father, explained that neither he nor his wife nor the twin brother Joel were compatible with the small, so it is imperative find a donor outside the family. Statistically, there may be a match with Joel every 40,000 people. Rodriguez publicly thanked the received expressions of solidarity and urged prsentes to be the donor, either to help your child or to attend to other cases similar to this cambrilense child.
