How to get to Salou by train

The Renfe station is located on Joan Fuster Avenue and is named PortAventura. ut to get to Salou by train or to travel from Salou to any other destination in this means of transport you must always change at the Tarragona station, that is, you always have to change trains.

Line R17 is the one that connects the PortAventura station with Tarragona and from Tarragona it can be linked with lines R14, R15, R16, RT1 and RT2, and other long-distance trains.

There is also a shuttle bus service that links the Salou-PortAventura station with the station that was in operation until January 2020 on Carles Roig Street.

Salou have had a train station since 1865. The old Carles Roig street station was located in the center of Salou, very close to Barcelona street and Carrilet square. In this square you can see, as a monument, one of the machines and a wagon of this old narrow-gauge railway that between 1887 and until November 10, 1975 linked Reus and Salou. Currently, the Carrilet station houses a children's space and on the old tracks a park with several games is built, including a train that recalls the old Carrilet.
